Summary

In this episode, Robert and Michael P. Farris discuss basic human rights, educational choice, and the possible overturn of Roe v. Wade. Michael is the founding president of both Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) and Patrick Henry College. Today, he serves as chairman of the board of HSLDA, chancellor emeritus of Patrick Henry, and the president and CEO of Alliance Defending Freedom. Throughout his career, Michael has defended human rights for freedom of religion and speech, promoted educational choice, and fought for the sanctity of human life.

Quote

“The reason people want to curtail freedom of speech—like on Facebook or Twitter or if you’re in a government school or public college—is that they don’t agree with what you are saying. They want to control the content, they want to control the worldview. The same thing is true in religious freedom. [People] want to stop [others] from either believing—or at least not living out—their faith. And so frankly, religious freedom… is the basis for all our freedoms.”
